Premium Ethiopian Guji Green Coffee Beans – Grade 1 (12 oz)
Unroasted · Raw Green · 12 oz
Grade 1 Ethiopian Green Coffee from the Guji Zone. Guji is one of Ethiopia's most celebrated emerging origins, sitting at elevations between 1,800 and 2,200 meters in the Oromia Region. The altitude, rich soil, and distinct dry seasons combine to produce beans of remarkable density and flavor complexity. These are raw, unroasted beans sourced directly from smallholder farmers in the Guji Zone. Grade 1 is the highest classification in Ethiopian coffee grading, awarded only to lots with zero defects and exceptional cup quality. Every batch we import meets that standard without exception. Green coffee gives home roasters and professionals full control over the roast profile. Guji responds beautifully to light and medium roasts, where its natural fruit character and sparkling acidity come through most clearly. Flavor Notes (when roasted): Blackberry, Jasmine, Lemon Zest, Stone Fruit, Sparkling Acidity Origin: Guji Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia Grade: Grade 1 Premium, zero defects, highest quality classification Net Weight: 12 oz (340g) Sourcing: Direct trade from Ethiopian smallholder farms Shelf Life: Green beans store for 12 to 24 months when kept cool and dry The premium price reflects the quality of the beans, the care taken in selection, and the direct relationship we maintain with the farmers who grow them.
Roaster's Notes
"Whole-bean Yirgacheffe rewards patience. Grind just before brewing and the full aromatic complexity — blueberry, jasmine, and a zest that's almost bergamot — fills the room before the first drop lands."

Brewing Guide
How to Roast at Home
These green beans are ready for your home roaster, cast-iron skillet, or popcorn popper. Roasting unlocks the flavour locked in every cherry.
Home Drum Roaster
Load beans at 200°C. Reach first crack ~8–10 min. Stop at second crack for medium-dark.
Cast-Iron Skillet
Medium-high heat. Stir constantly for 10–15 min. Remove at desired colour and cool immediately on a metal tray.
Popcorn Popper
Add 1/2 cup beans. Run 5–8 min to light roast. Longer for medium. Always cool in a colander outdoors — chaff flies.
Rest Before Brewing
Let freshly roasted beans degas 12–48 hours before brewing for optimal flavour clarity.
Origin
The Gedeo Highlands
Yirgacheffe sits inside the larger Gedeo Zone in Ethiopia's southern highlands, at elevations between 1,900 and 2,400 metres. It is considered the birthplace of Arabica coffee. The cool mist, shade trees, and rich forest soil create a microclimate that produces the most aromatic coffee on the planet. Small-holder farmers here have been growing coffee for over a thousand years.
